The NGL dredging vessel "Compass I" floats on calm blue ocean waters under a clear sky. The barge has a red and blue deck with yellow safety railings and two tall black-and-yellow spud poles. The cutterhead apparatus is submerged in the water at the front, creating slight ripples. The Compass I is a portable 12-foot hydraulic cutter suction dredge with a 450 HP Cummins engine, capable of digging depths from 5 to 22 feet and a swing width of up to 60 feet. Supported by various tenders, skiffs, and over 7,500 feet of pipe, it’s engineered for efficient, high-performance dredging.
